Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Women’s Health providers welcome Julie Feinland, certified nurse midwife and licensed acupuncturist, to their practice. A longtime resident of the area, Feinland moved to Northampton in 1997 to begin her practice as a midwife. “I love the people, the natural beauty, and the culture in the Valley,” she said. Midwifery is a life-long passion for Feinland. “I was interested in midwifery as a young child and never lost my fascination with pregnancy and childbirth. That interest has now expanded into care for women throughout their lives.”
Training and Medical Interests
Feinland received her Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in nurse-midwifery and master’s in Public Health from Columbia University. She recently received her master’s in Acupuncture from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture. Feinland has a particular interest in Alternative and complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and yoga. She is Board Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
