This Spring, more than 20 area businesses like Herrell’s Ice Cream and Cedar Chest are encouraging customers and shoppers to support Cooley Cares for Kids. CDHC partners with local shop owners to help raise funds for children receiving pediatric rehabilitation services.

Pediatric rehabilitation helps children with developmental delays or who are recovering from injuries and may need assistance to expand their therapy at home.  Insurance often does not cover the cost of the specialized rehab devices needed in their rehabilitation.

“Who doesn’t want to help improve the quality of health care received by our local kids?” said Cedar Chest’s Business Manager Dror Shmerling. “Deciding to participate in Cooley Cares for Kids each year is an easy one for us.  We are fortunate to have such a high quality health care provider in our town plus they are great partners when it comes to this promotion.”

Community support helps provide compassionate, personalized care to over 9,000 children who are served by Cooley Dickinson every year.

“Herrell’s Ice Cream is always happy to support the Cooley Cares for Kids Program. Kids are our future and we want to make sure that all their needs are met,” added Judy Herrell, owner of Herrell’s Ice Cream.
