Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Paying it Forward

Breast cancer survivor Lynne Parsons, Chair of the Breast Center Fundraising Committee, and Cooley Dickinson Chief Development Officer Diane Dukette talk about how the new Breast Center will consolidate care and improve patient experience thanks to upgraded facilities, expanded space, screening and diagnostic 3D mammography equipment that improves accuracy and lowers radiation exposure, and the addition of a patient navigator to help coordinate care. Lynne was inspired by the care and the people who treated her at Cooley Dickinson when she was a patient, and her inspiration has helped manifest the hospital’s $2 million renovation and expansion of 6,000+ square feet of space now dedicated to the new Breast Center.
