Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) provides patients with real-time access to live interpreters in many spoken languages as well as American Sign Language (ASL).

Cooley Dickinson is excited to announce the availability of video interpretation services at the Northampton hospital.

Interpreter Services is implementing VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) at the main campus. This service will allow quick access to Interpreters for Spoken Languages as well as American Sign Language (ASL). Each nursing unit has been equipped with its own device, and there is also one in the Emergency Department. VRI will be available to patients who need it during most hours, and can be accessed through nearly every department, including (but not limited to) Radiology & Imaging, Registration, The Breast Center, and the Mass General Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
