Flu Shot Clinic to Open at Southampton Urgent Care

Cooley Dickinson’s Southampton Urgent Care will be holding a walk-in flu shot clinic over the next four Wednesdays, beginning Wed., Oct. 21st and running through Wed., Nov. 11th. The weekly clinic will be held at 12 College Highway (Rte. 10), at the Big Y Plaza in Southampton, just over the Easthampton line.

Those seeking flu shots do not need to be patients of Cooley Dickinson Health Care; visits will be billed to whatever insurance you carry, and people should bring their insurance cards to receive the shot. If you are a Cooley Dickinson Health Care patient, or a patient within the Mass General Brigham system, you can self-schedule through our Patient Gateway portal rather than just walking in.

Influenza (Flu) is a highly contagious respiratory illness that is responsible for significant morbidity and mortality. Approximately 9% of the world’s population is affected annually, with up to 1 billion infections, 3 to 5 million severe cases, and 300,000 to 500,000 deaths each year. It is particularly important for people to be vaccinated this year, as the flu season and the demands on health care systems will be additionally strained by the COVID-19 pandemic.
