Cooley Dickinson Recognizes Autism/ASD/Neurodiversity Month

April 13, 2022

Awareness, Inclusion, and Making Resources Available

Every year, organizations, families, and people living with autism around the world celebrate during the month of April to promote autism awareness, inclusion and self-determination, and to assure that each person with ASD and other neurodiverse people are provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life.

This year, Cooley Dickinson will be lighting up the campus blue to recognize and celebrate neurodiversity, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re coming in through the hospital’s main street entrance from Route 9. You can also wear blue to show your support.

For those interested in learning more about local/regional community support networks for people with autism, click on this link to Autism Connections, which also holds its annual conference in western Mass. on April 28th, for people with autism, families and mental health professionals. And for families and providers seeking specialty care for people with autism, Mass General’s Lurie Center for Autism is just a short-drive away.
