Cooley Dickinson OB-GYN and Midwifery Hosting Community Events

Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s OB-GYN and Midwifery department has returned to offering community education events, following a hiatus due to the pandemic.

Free, and open to anyone in the community, the events take place in the community room of the Louse Finn House on the campus of Cooley Dickinson – often referred to as “the yellow house.”

Upcoming events include the following:

• On September 7 from 6-7:30 p.m., Amy Mager, a doctorate of acupuncture and Chinese medicine and fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine, will present “Midlife Magic.” Mager will share tips, from a traditional Chinese Medicine framework, regarding menopause.
• On September 21 from 6-7:30 p.m., the department will host a “Holistic Pelvic Health Panel.” Eight local pelvic health practitioners, from a variety of modalities, will share information on their methods and answer questions.
• October 17 from 6-8:00 p.m., there will be a “Postpartum Planning Session” to assist expectant families in preparing for their postpartum needs. This event is offered bi-monthly.

The department also offers quarterly infant massage classes, with the next scheduled for November 16 from 10-11:30 a.m. and another on February 15.
