Cooley Dickinson Health Care Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee at Cooley Dickinson Health Care is a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals and community members that addresses ethical questions related to patient care in all clinical areas of the corporation. The Ethics Committee serves as a resource and support to employees of Cooley Dickinson Health Care and the patients and families it serves. The Ethics Committee helps all participants in an ethics discussion or formal consult to engage in a dialogue based on mutual respect that is helpful to patients and families facing ethical dilemmas and challenging decisions. Ethics consults focus on illuminating the ethical principles that exist and providing all participants a voice in the discussion. The Ethics Committee does not make decisions, nor does it enforce decisions made by others.

To request an ethics consult:  Any Cooley Dickinson Health Care employee, patient or family member may request an ethics consult.  To make a request:
