Imprivata Cortext secure text messaging is the only approved method of texting Electronic Protected Health Information and Confidential Information for users in CDHC. Imprivata Cortext secure text messaging must be used in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations whether the portable device is issued by Cooley Dickinson Hospital or a personally owned device.

Traditional SMS text messages, sent via smartphones, are non-compliant for texting Electronic Protected Health Information and Confidential Information.
