My Philosophy

Seeing my patients suffer from acute life-threatening heart rhythm disorders challenges me to understand these diseases more. Their clinical presentation and pathophysiology remind me of hurricanes I survived in my earlier years in Kingston, Jamaica. They are simultaneously amazing and complex. I am inspired to research innovative methods in the field, including the use of 3D printing to size occlusive devices for the left atrial appendage in patients with atrial fibrillation. My work and exposure to electrophysiology has deepened my passion to learn more and excel in the field. I work intensely to serve my patients, colleagues, staff, and faculty. My ultimate goals are to contribute to innovative research in the field and be a mentor focused on delivering state-of-the-art care to my patients.
