Dr. Quinney holds a Manual Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine. He has advanced manual therapy training in spinal manipulation, peripheral and spinal mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, functional cupping myofascial mobilization. He is rapidly approaching certification in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (SMT) from the Spinal Manipulation Institute. He is passionate about physical therapy and manual therapy interventions for cervical, thoracic, lumbar and SI joint pain, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) pain and headaches. Additionally, Dr. Quinney has clinical interest in sports medicine and has developed a running rehabilitation program and offers running video gait analysis.

My therapy practice blends the most effective and efficient manual therapy techniques with sound exercise physiology and strength and conditioning principles to promote healing and advance wellbeing.

Biography

Dr. Quinney grew up active in sports, playing tennis, running cross country, and focusing on basketball. After high school he opted not to pursue college basketball for which he was recruited but joined the U.S. Navy where he served for six years. After separating from the Navy, he obtained his personal training certification and worked as a personal trainer while getting his degree in nutrition and eventually moving on to physical therapy school. He continues to be passionate about exercise and nutrition focusing predominately on kettlebell and weighted clubbells as his preferred fitness modality.
