I believe in treating the person first and the disease second, in getting to know patients individually and then collaboratively developing a treatment plan that works best for their lives.
Kate Leflar graduated with her BSN from Hartwick College, in 2008. She worked as a nurse at MGH in the Neurologic ICU for several years before acquiring her MSN at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., in 2015. Prior to coming to Cooley Dickinson, Kate worked as a critical care nurse practitioner in the surgical ICU at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She has taught undergraduate nursing at the Mass General Institute for Health Professions, and at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. In her free time, she enjoys being active outside, a strong cup of coffee and spending time with her husband and two children.
