My Philosophy
My philosophy is to provide the best possible care for my patients by not only treating their disease, but working with them to develop an understanding of their disease and helping them improve their quality of life. I think communication and empathy are vital to build strong relationships and believe in treating my patients with respect and dignity.
Biography
Dr. Maham Anser graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical University in Pakistan in 2014 and moved to the US in 2016. She did her residency from Maimonides Medical Center; one of the biggest hospitals in New York. She started her residency amidst the global pandemic in one of the worst hit cities in the US which equipped her with the skills and knowledge to take on challenges and remain calm under pressure. She had the privilege to represent her hospital at the ACP quiz competition in 2022 and was also elected as the class speaker for her residency graduation.
Following her residency, she got a chance to go back to Pakistan and help with diagnosing, treating, counselling and following-up patients in the under-served areas. She also mentored medical students and residents and was able to educate them about guideline-based management and latest advancements in medicine and gave seminars about breast cancer awareness in schools.
Dr. Anser is American Board certified in Internal Medicine. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family, travelling, hiking, baking and taking pictures.
