Stephen has 20 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He completed a two-year fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in 2010. In 2013 he passed his Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Board examination. He is most interested and specializes in treating patients in the outpatient setting recovering from various orthopedic and sports-related injuries and surgeries.

Stephen is a proponent of evidence-based physical therapy and continued education. He believes that good hands-on care, knowledge of current best practices, and experience provides patients with the best possible level of care and outcomes.
Stephen Markey has worked for Cooley Dickinson Hospital since 2008. Since moving to the Pioneer Valley he has become actively involved in coaching various sports at the youth level. His love of sports and coaching integrates well with his background and expertise in orthopedic and sports physical therapy.
