Cooley Dickinson Hospital installed brand new state-of-the-art equipment in its CVIR suite in the fall of 2018, completing a $750k renovation over the preceding summer. The CVIR suite now offers a full spectrum of interventional radiology and related procedures, including simple outpatient treatments like joint injections for pain relief as well as complex embolization and ablation of cancers, arterial stenting and endovascular hemodialysis access repair. In addition, the Interventional Radiology Department provides treatment for longer term, chronic venous insufficiency conditions, and can interpret and evaluate non-invasive vascular imaging.
Boris Nikolic, MD, MBA, DABR, FSIR, is an internationally recognized expert in the field, and brings decades of experience to Cooley Dickinson’s expanding program.
