Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

Many injuries and other physical conditions may require long-term recovery, special treatment or extended programs of physical therapy, conditioning or adaptation to new, continuing lifestyle changes. Loss of limbs, balance, coordination or cognitive function can present serious challenges to even the most determined people, and Cooley Dickinson is assembling a cohort of professionals whose unique specialties are key to helping patients navigate through long-term recoveries and necessary shifts in lifestyle and functionality.

Our PM&R providers bring a breadth of knowledge in rehabilitative fields, including addressing particular challenges such as:

Our Providers

Becky Lansky, DO

Dr. Lansky works with all types of patients including survivors of multiple traumas, cancer, and car accidents. She spends time collaborating with neuropsychologists, psychologists, prosthetists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and chiropractors. Through her extensive education and treatment experience she is uniquely qualified to assemble comprehensive treatment plans for optimal healing.

Richard N. Norris, MD, is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry). He is a member of the North American Spine Society (NASS) and the Spinal Intervention Society (SIS). Following completion of his residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City in 1984, Dr. Norris served a fellowship in Orthopedics at Boston Children’s Hospital and a second fellowship in Interventional Spine Medicine at the Florida Spine Institute in Clearwater in 1997. He has been in practice for 30 years and has performed over 15,000 spinal injections.

Sherri Kuchinskas, MDSherri Kuchinskas, MD, Physiatrist at Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, West Hatfield, MA 01088.

Dr. Kuchinskas is a board certified physiatrist. She is a non-surgical specialist in the treatment of sports, musculoskeletal, joint, nerve and spine injuries and also does electrodiagnostic testing, having earned her medical degree at St.Louis University and completed her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She completed a one-year sports medicine fellowship at the University of Illinois where she was a team physician for all athletics and served on the medical staff for the WNBA Sky team. A former All-American softball player at UMass, Amherst, Dr. Kuchinskas has a focus on sports medicine and works closely with the area colleges and high school athletic teams.
