Hospice Care

Hospice offers comfort and dignity for people who are at end of life. Our Hospice Team cares for terminally ill patients and their families, wherever they live. Hospice does not hasten or postpone death, but helps patients and families live well while preparing for death.

The program

Patients and families facing the challenge of a terminal illness often feel overwhelmed. Hospice can help. We offer a medically-supervised, nurse-coordinated team of professionals, home health aides and volunteers who provide for the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Hospice pain management, symptom control, spiritual care, bereavement support and assistance with personal care are all offered to allow patients and families to maintain comfort, independence and dignity. Throughout the dying and bereavement process, our caregivers teach patients what and what not to expect.
